ACTICOAT Flex is a knitted polyester fabric coated with nanocrystalline silver. The dressing is highly flexible and comfortable, allowing for greater patient mobility. Its open-weave design promotes easy fluid and wound exudate migration.
Usage:
• If the wound has low levels of exudate, moisten the dressing with water before application (DO NOT use saline). If the wound has moderate to high levels of exudate, pre-moistening the dressing is not necessary.
• If needed, cut the dressing according to the shape of the wound.
• Apply the dressing to the wound with any side facing down.
• Follow the dressing instructions to ensure it remains moist during use.
• The exudate levels of the wound may be sufficient to keep the dressing moist. If additional moisture is needed, consider using a moistened gauze or INTRASITE Gel on top of ACTICOAT Flex.
• Ensure the dressing is moist before removal.
• ACTICOAT Flex can remain in place for up to 3 days.
• ACTICOAT Flex can remain in place for up to 7 days.
